We are excited to welcome Travis Klabon to the King's Ridge Christian School family. He will serve as a faculty member, teaching history in the High School and Middle School.
"Travis brings an extensive instructional background to the history department," notes Doug Pesce, Middle School principal. "His repeated participation in the Gilder-Lehrman Institute demonstrates his passion for and commitment to excellent Christian Education. We are excited to have him join the KRCS faculty."
In addition to his teaching duties, Travis will serve as both the program coordinator and the head high school coach for men's lacrosse. This hiring positions the kick off of JV men's lacrosse in the spring of 2018. He will also assist the varsity football program as linebacker coach.
"Travis is a fantastic fit for our school," comments Todd Mooney, director of athletics. "His commitment to the Lord is evident the minute you meet him. I'm extremely excited at his lacrosse experience and our ability to begin play in men's lacrosse in the upcoming school year. He will also be an excellent addition to our football program."
Klabon brings a wealth of experience to the classroom and athletic fields. While at Park Vista (FL) he was responsible for starting their lacrosse program and served as head coach for seven years. As a football coach, Travis has served in many capacities and brings a great deal of defensive experience to the table, along with being a part of four district championships in the state of Florida. His experience is rounded out with time as an assistant AD and a team speaker for Fellowship of Christian Athletes.
"Travis is firm in his faith and comes to us with strong recommendations," observes Jimmy Chupp, football program coordinator and head coach "We are blessed to attract a veteran educator with extensive coaching experience in two sports."
