Middle School Girls Tennis finish 2nd in Metro 10

Congratulations to both our Boys and Girls Middle School Tennis teams for earning a spot in the Metro 10 tournament! It was a cold and blustery day, but our team started out with hope, anticipation and smiles!

The boys fell to Pinecrest, finishing their season in 6th place. The girls defeated Whitefield and advanced to the Championship round. They faced Mt. Vernon for the playoff. Each match was highly competitive with excellent tennis being played on all the courts. While Maeve & Estelle, at 1 Doubles, finished first with a win, Abbey and Sasha, at 2 and 3 Singles fell in tight matches. Ivey and Marcia were up at 2 Doubles, but halfway through the match their opponents gained momentum and took the lead and the win. Cali, at 1 Single, could have come off the court, but the highly competitive and evenly matched opponents chose to finish the drill! All eyes fell on Court #1. Cali stayed focused and strong, however, with the win of the overall match decided in Mt. Vernon's favor, it was a tough game to finish. Cali played with integrity and honor! Girls finish the season in 2nd Place!

We are so proud of all our student-athletes: their sportsmanship and how they represented themselves, King's Ridge, and God!

Go Tigers!
