Volleyball Fights Hard in Tri-Match but Comes Up Short

The varsity volleyball team hosted Weber and North Springs on Thursday in what turned out to be a great night of volleyball. All three matches went to a deciding third set as the teams were very evenly matched. The Tigers came out strong against Weber and took the first set 25-18 but were unable to secure the win in the next two sets (19-25, 10-15). Ella Reid, and Olivia Eison led the team on offense while Kate Salvatierra played one of her best matches as libero on defense. The Tigers took the court again for the final match of the evening against a strong North Springs team. The first set was a back and forth battle that ended with North Springs on top 22-25. The Tigers fought back, however, taking the second 25-22, forcing a third set. The ladies played their hearts out but came up short as North Springs took the final set 15-10. The Tigers will head to Paideia on Monday.
